Happy New Year

Happy New Year
Here we are at the start of a New Year and I look forward to it with great enthusiasm. I am still filled with joy because of all that happened at the end of 2008. You see in the picture our sewing class graduates with Rose-Marie Armstrong, one of our Evangeline Board members and myself at the December 6 celebration. This was our second graduation and made for a total of 19 graduates for 2008 and 44 since we began in 2006. So what does 2009 hold for us. More of the same but with exciting changes. Our students will come from some new communities and we will work more closely with Living Way and our South African partners. I am looking forward to doing some journalism teaching and also leading a new class in English for the women and others who want to learn. I also hope to start a discipleship group for the women who are interested. All of this is wonderful but I must be honest to say I often wonder about my ability to do all of the things I am led to do. Maybe you feel the same way as you face this new year. Allow me to encourage you with some lessons from the book of Joshua, chapter three, which I will use to guide me in this upcoming year. Of course the Lord could see what was in Joshua's heart as he prepared to take over from Moses so He gave him these assurances. God will lead. I must follow and worship. God will do amazing things and will move mountains and part seas to acomplish His will, not mine and God will exalt the work I do for Him, but I must never be concerned about my reputation. All of these give me comfort, strength and purpose. So I wish for each person who reads this blog an incredible 2009 and I would love to hear from you. My email is wendylife05@yahoo.com And yes, I mean it when I say come to Cape Town and visit.
